Situated in a suburb of Seattle, with the Puget Sound, Mt. Rainier, Olympics and Cascade mountain ranges and Mt. Baker visible from our property, we were very happy and content to live the normal life.

Somehow we always felt that a pet dog would be a nice addition, especially one that would be family friendly since we had two small children who were 3 and 5 years old at that time.

Along came “Hema”, who gave us so much joy and happiness that after a few months we wondered how we had lived so long without a dog. Hema was immensely popular with all the kids in the community and was an instant hit with all our friends and relatives.

We then decided as a family to become a small non-kennel breeder of Yellow Labrador Retrievers so as to pass on to other families the positive influence of an intelligent, healthy and vivacious Labrador.

Having more than a decade of experience as Pharmacists and having seen the various preventable diseases that exist in dogs, we decided that the puppies we produce will be of the top quality and free of such maladies. Hence our dogs have had to pass not only all the health screenings required by AKC and PSLRA but more. Additionally they also have had to have perfect scores in the Genetic Testing (not even be carriers) conducted by Paw Print Genetics.

Our dogs live with us, play in our yard, swim in Puyallup river and Puget Sound, play with our children and are all-around loving, intelligent companion animals. They live in the house as part of our family. We do not have kennels. Some dogs do just fine with kennels, but we prefer to have our dogs inside with us. And yes, dog hair is part of the décor, but what’s a few dog hairs between family?!

“We aren’t house-proud.  If we were, we wouldn’t abide the scratches on the door frame, the holes in the screen, the darkened shine of worn spots on the chair.  We would wince at the mottled carpet and fret at the hair clinging to our clothes.

We don’t.  If anything, we lovers of dogs are a tolerant lot, finding greater value in the unabashed affection of our friends than in the immaculate sofas.  Shoes can be replaced, but heroic retrievers are timeless.

Without dogs, our houses are cold receptacle for things. Dogs make fire warmer with their curled presence. They wake us, greet us, protect us and ultimately carve a place in our hearts and our history. On reflection, our lives are often referenced in parts, defined by the all-too-short lives of our dogs.” -Paul Ferson

We hope you enjoy your visit to our website and the opportunity to meet our dogs!
